Integrated Environmental Technologies Receives UL Certifications

Little River, SC - Integrated Environmental Technologies, Ltd. announced recently that its wholly-owned subsidiary, I.E.T., Inc., has received certification, by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL), for the suitability and electrical safety of the Company's EcaFlo equipment to be used as a fully UL-compliant component of water treatment systems in the United States, when used in the manner directed by EcaFlo equipment system manuals.

I.E.T. Inc., through the efforts of its engineering department, has successfully obtained the UL ANSI/NSF Standard 61 (Drinking Water System Components) Classification and UL 979 (Standard for Water Treatment Appliances) Listing for electrical safety relative to its EcaFlo-brand electrolyzed water generators. EcaFlo equipment generates EcaFlo anolyte, an effective antimicrobial solution that is produced from salt, water, and electricity. EcaFlo anolyte can be used to replace harsh and often hazardous chemicals or solutions. The Company's President, Mr. William E. Prince, stated "The process of putting our EcaFlo equipment up for complete and total inspection with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., has been an eye-opening experience for us. We realized the importance of receiving the water treatment equipment (ANSI/NSF STD 61 Classified Water Quality) and electrical safety (UL 979 Listed) Marks early last year and have pushed through every hurdle to obtain these coveted UL Marks." Prince added, "Knowing that our EcaFlo devices and solutions have been so thoroughly explored, documented, brought into compliance and then validated by the UL certification process, is gratifying – to say the least."

The ANSI/NSF STD 61 Water Treatment Equipment and UL Listed Electrical Safety Marks, performed by UL professionals, afford I.E.T., Inc. the credibility and confidence to sell EcaFlo equipment and solutions into the water treatment system market; a market that has been seeking alternatives and new innovations to its traditional chemical usage for several years. "Our current customers and many potential users of I.E.T. products have been awaiting this step in our progress," Prince further stated, "and our marketing efforts should take a strong step forward."
