ActionI/Q Model Q498 Multi-Input, Multi-Function Isolator

Action Instruments announces immediate availability of the new ActionI/Q Model Q498. The Model Q498 is a DC powered, DIN rail mount, DC/Frequency/Digital input signal conditioner. The unit is fully isolated between input to input, output and power. The Q498 has two isolated analog inputs that will accept one DC voltage or current input signal, one frequency input and one discrete digital input. There are separate analog and frequency outputs as well as a discrete digital output.

The Model Q498 also supports Math and Process Control Functions. Basic arithmetic, square, square root and average along with Hi/ Lo Select, Track & Hold and Rate of Change Limiter. The output formulas for the analog and the frequency outputs contain values for both of the analog inputs along with the frequency input, as well as scaling factors. This provides for both DC to Frequency and Frequency to DC capability simultaneously, useful in Totalization/Integration applications.

The field configurable input and output feature offers flexible, wide ranging capability for DC current and voltage signals. The Model Q498 can also be configured via a PC with the optional C698-0000 Windows based GUI software (required for utilizing the math function capability).
