ADWEL International

ADWEL International
ADWEL International Ltd. is a growing company and leading manufacturer of specialized test equipment for the electric power industry. Originally called FES International Ltd., we have been in business since 1986 and are the pioneer in the supply of on-line partial discharge analysis (PDA) systems for monitoring stator insulation condition on generators and motors. ADWEL International's head office is in Toronto, Canada with a branch office in London, England.

In 1996 FES International Ltd. expanded by acquiring Adwel Industries Ltd. of Great Britain and changed its name to ADWEL International Ltd.

Adwel Industries had been the original manufacturer of the widely used Electromagnetic Core Imperfection Detector (EL CID) instrument. The EL CID instrument is a safer, easier, low-power alternative to the ring flux (a.k.a. loop) test for measuring the integrity of stator cores.

In addition to PDA and EL CID, ADWEL International Ltd. offers the electronic Wedge Tightness Detector (WTD), Robot Inspection Vehicle (RIV), Motor Core Tester (MCT), Corona Probe and Magnastart (a slip-ring motor starter). These products and services are used by utilities, motor rewind companies, heavy industrial users and manufacturers of large generators and motors.

In 1998 ADWEL International Ltd. expanded again, acquiring the former Electrical Testing Instruments Ltd. of Scarborough. This acquisition expanded our product line into general-purpose electrical test instruments like winding resistance testers, micro-ohmmeters, transformer ratiometers and current transformer test sets.

ADWEL International Ltd. is dedicated to providing top quality products and customer service to ensure that our equipment meets or exceeds the expectations of our clients. This attitude has made us into a global leader in the supply of specialized test equipment and services for the electric power industry.
