American Electrical Contracting, Inc., one of the largest commercial and residential electrical contractors in Northeast Florida, is completing work on the new Academy Sports and Outdoors store located at 9041 Southside Blvd.

For American Electrical Contracting, the 78,150 square foot build-out at the former location of Circuit City and Linen ‘n Things marks the successful completion of another major project in a year that included several major build-outs for Deutsche Bank, ING, The Jacksonville Zoo, Baptist Pavilion and many others.

In the 13 years that American Electrical has been in business they have done a commendable job of shaping Jacksonville’s landscape and is the preferred electrical contractor of many of Jacksonville’s General Contractors and Property Managers.

With 11 Master Electricians and licensed Journeymen running its 20 plus crews, the company is well positioned to handle a wide variety of work in the industrial, commercial and residential space. Their dispatch system and GPS tracking allows management to properly coordinate the activities of its multiple crews, while their ability to print complete plans internally is a convenience many companies do not have.

President, Billy Frick said, “Thus far it has been a good year. We have enhanced our reputation with our existing customers and created new valuable alliances through our excellent work and follow through. While the economy has not recovered we have captured new opportunities as our employees continue to impress customers with their knowledge and professionalism.”

At the same time that American Electrica’s commercial crews have been getting projects completed on time, their residential crews have been satisfying customers across The First Coast. Mr. Frick stated, “We do not know which way this economy is going tomorrow but we plan to be successful continuing to do business via our slogan, Wired Right at a Fair Price.”
