Armored Cordset

Armorfast is a new patent-pending 18 AWG industrial cordset constructed of rugged metal clad cable (NEC type MC). Designed for use in the harshest industrial environments, the cable is completely clad with interlocking aluminum armor that provides bendable conduit-like protection. The cordset provides a reliable grounding path that meets Article 250 requirements. It is ideal for indoor and outdoor cable trays, direct burial applications, and aerial cable installed through, or parallel to, joists and rafters.

This cordset is terminated with industry-standard minifast connectors, delivering plug-and-play-wiring convenience to severe environments. The connector bodies, made of fully molded polyurethane (PUR), are moisture, oil, solvent and abrasion resistant. The nickel-plated brass coupling nuts are attached to the armor providing a mechanical ground.

Cordsets are available in 2, 4, and 6m standard lengths, in 2-, 3-, 4-, or 5-pin models, with a choice of male or female pinout. An exterior jacket of premium grade yellow PVC insulation and cable jacketing covers the interlocking armor, providing flame, oil and moisture resistance. The cordsets operate in temperatures of –20°C to +90°C (-4°F to +194°F), and are rated NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6P and IEC IP67.
