Belkin Components (Compton, CA) introduced its new line of Stanley branded extension cords, power strips, and surge protectors. The Stanley branded line of extension cords, power strips, and surge protectors will make their debut at the National Hardware Show, Aug. 13-16, in Chicago with a projected shipping date of September 2000.

"In the hardware channels, the extension cord and power protection categories have become stale commodities," said Megan Daley, product manager for the power protection line at Belkin Components. "When the Stanley brand became available for licensing, we jumped at the chance. The new line of Stanley products is set to change the way we look at these kinds of devices," she added.

The Stanley Extension Cord line is composed of five very functional categories

  • Contractor Grade — featuring unique oversized plug designs and on cord reel, is designed to perform in the most rugged of environments
  • General Purpose Grade — is perfect for the home and small office environments
  • For the do-it-yourselfer who demands top-quality products to assist with their projects, Outdoor Grade, Workshop Grade, and Power Tool Cords, are a perfect match.
To complement the extension cord line, Belkin developed the Stanley Power Protection line, which features power strips and surge protectors, and is divided into four categories
  • General Purpose Grade
  • Computer Grade
  • Electronics Grade
  • Contractor Grade — featuring convenient hanging holes for easy storage, rubber outlet covers for extra safety, and a cable management system to wrap excess cord while storing, is designed to perform almost anywhere.
MSRP for the line ranges from $1.49 to $69.99.
