Cooper Wiring Devices Expands Its Award-Winning Aspire RF Line Of Wireless Controls

Peachtree City, GA - Cooper Wiring Devices recently announced the newest additions to its ASPIRE RF line of wireless home control products. The new battery-operated switch/dimmer provides unparalleled convenience for consumers, and the new tamper-resistant receptacle provides new levels of safety for children.
The ASPIRE RF Battery-Operated Switch/Dimmer (RF9500) brings unprecedented innovation to wireless switches. With an extreme low-profile depth of about 1/8", the new device is easy to install and mounts directly to the wall. Because the device is battery-powered NO wiring is needed. The new device controls RF receptacles, switches and dimmers to provide remote ON/OFF/DIM/BRIGHT control, or can control other Z-Wave? devices, such as window shades. The switch/dimmer has a wireless association feature, eliminating the need for traditional 3-way wiring or a dedicated traveler wire. Our wireless 3-way multi-location control feature reduces labor costs and saves time spent on the job site. The switch/dimmer combo is completely portable and can be placed in any desired location. Using single-button programming (controller required), the switch/dimmer combo can control up to five other devices simultaneously. The RF9500 Battery-operated device includes a single-gang wall plate with mounting hardware, and can be used in existing or new multi-gang installations (inner wallplate RFBS822 required).
The ASPIRE RF 15A Split Control Tamper Resistant Receptacle (RFTR9505-T) replaces the previous RF receptacle (RF9505), and provides local and remote ON/OFF control of a single outlet. Our new Tamper Resistant version, which offers a UL listed safety shutter system that prevents insertion of foreign objects into receptacle openings, complies with 2008 NEC section 406.11 specification that states all receptacles installed in dwelling units must be tamper resistant. The new tamper resistant receptacle features convenient single-button programming, tri-combo screws for flexible installation, and is compatible with the ASPIRE
Design System screwless wall plates. In addition, the new tamper resistant receptacle offers the same configurable parameters as the previous receptacle (Association; Power On Status; All On/All Off, Panic Mode) and includes our patented indicator system that alerts the user if the receptacle is not set up in the network.
"We're very excited to add these new products to the ASPIRE RF line that offer a quick and easy solution for retrofitting 3-way lighting applications and room controls from any location in the home," said Jason Sherrill, Product Manager, Cooper Wiring Devices. "We are committed to protecting children from electrical injury and shock with the introduction of the ASPIRE RF 15A Split Control Receptacle (RFTR9505-T). The portable ASPIRE RF Battery-operated Switch/Dimmer (RF9500), which requires NO wiring, offers the ultimate in wireless control convenience. Cooper Wiring Devices provides our customers the very best in wireless technology, and will continue to bring innovative products to the wireless controls arena."
The ASPIRE RF Wireless Control System combines the elegance of sophisticated design with the innovation of intelligent wireless technology to give homeowners new levels of comfort, control and style inside and outside the home. It features a full line of switches, receptacles, dimmers, scene controls, remote controls, accessories and screwless wall plates. Any of the products can be controlled with the press of a single button on a remote control, and can be joined with other devices to create "events" or "scenes" that offer ambience, convenience and energy savings.
