Dexter + Chaney holds fourth annual user's conference
For the third consecutive year, attendance at the conference grew by more than 40 percent. The conference took place at the beautiful Bell Harbor International Conference Center on the waterfront.
Attendees learned and shared tips about operating Forefront and received a "sneak preview" of Forefront Version 10. They also provided input and made requests to the company about features for future releases.
The 500-plus people who attended the conference represented 236 construction companies from 38 states. Attendance has increased over the years from 160 in 1997 to 235 (1998), 351 (1999) and 500-plus (2000). This year, because of the growth in popularity of the conference, Dexter + Chaney split the conference into two separate, two-day sessions.
Forefront's Document Imaging capability was one of the most popular topics. A user session devoted solely to Document Imaging drew one of the largest crowds, and attendees flocked to a Document Imaging demonstration that ran for most of the two-day event.
With the document imaging, whenever a user looks to find a transaction, they'll also find the original document — without ever leaving their desk. Information — stored electronically — is available at the touch of a computer key for instant retrieval and usage.
