Eiffage Wins Two Contracts For The Construction Of The Infrastructure For Two Onshore Wind Farms In Spain For A Total Value Of 80 Million Euros

Eiffage, through its Spanish subsidiary Eiffage Energía Sistemas, has secured two major contracts in Spain awarded by Capital Energy (a Spanish company specialising in the promotion and development of renewable energies) for the construction of the infrastructure for two onshore wind farms in the Castile and León region. The total value of the two projects is over €80M.

The first contract, which represents an investment of almost €53M, concerns the Terrer complex of wind farms. It covers the construction of the transformer substation and high-voltage transmission power line. This infrastructure will facilitate the transmission of energy from the Pedrecha, San Cristóbal, and Cabezuelas wind farms, which together constitute this complex, with a combined capacity of approximately 150 MW. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027.

The second contract, worth €27M, covers the Canales Sur wind farm, with an installed capacity of 120 MW. Eiffage Energía Sistemas will be responsible for engineering, provision, construction and commissioning of the electrical installations. The contract also includes construction of the transformer substation as well as the underground high-voltage transmission power line. Handover of the site is scheduled for 2027.

These two projects, with a combined renewable energy capacity of 270 MW, will create 330 direct jobs during the construction phase.

These contracts consolidate the position of Eiffage Energía Sistemas as a key partner in the development of complete high-added-value renewable-energy installations on Spanish territory.
