A portable, self-contained method of forming high-quality grounding connections, the Furseweld Exothermic Welding System requires no external power or heat source. According to the manufacturer, the majority of connections have at least twice the cross-sectional area of the conductors being joined, and an equivalent or greater current carrying capacity. With a copper content in excess of 90%, the connectors offer corrosion resistance and will withstand repeated fault currents. The system includes connectors for cable to cable, cable to ground rod and cable to steel fabrications.
