Fostoria will design and engineer your snow and ice melting system for an automatic 24 hour a day response to hazardous snow and icing conditions occurring in pedestrian and vehicle traffic areas.

The basic system includes the control box (APS-313), your choice of snow and ice sensors (CIT-1 or SIT-5E), Fostoria Mul-T-Mount infrared heaters, and an electrical control panel.

Fostoria's advanced controls and high efficiency industrial grade electric infrared heaters are made for abusive atmospheres and challenging applications. Our controls are simple to set-up and use and are easily installed by an electrician.

Many of our sales engineers have over 30 years experience in designing and specifying the proper heaters and controls. They'll specify the exact amount of infrared heat you need, and provide you the performance, low maintenance and energy efficiency that Fostoria customers have come to expect. A level of performance that's tough for alternative systems to match.

Heaters are UL Listed and available in a variety of lengths, wattages, finishes and heat patterns. Heaters can be totally exposed to outdoor weather conditions or can be mounted in UL Listed recessing frames.

Automated systems are not only a convenience to pedestrians and for maintenance crews, (keeping traffic lanes clear at all hours), but they also reduce potential liability in the case of an accident.

Using electric infrared instead of salts or other hazardous snow melting chemicals keeps floor coverings and finishes from being destroyed and eliminates the deterioration of asphalt and concrete roadways. This all saves thousands of dollars yearly in repair, replacement and maintenance.
