Intecal Software From GE Sensing Simplifies Calibration Management
Billerica, Massachusetts — Keeping field instruments calibrated and in peak operating condition just got easier with Intecal, the calibration management software from GE Sensing. Engineering technicians can now improve efficiency and equipment utilization, by automatically scheduling calibration requirements, generating calibration procedures and documenting the results. Fully compatible with GE's entire Druck and Ruska lines of instruments or any device using the FCINT (field calibrator interface standard), Intecal is specifically designed for managing laboratory instruments and portable calibrators used to validate process plant instrumentation.
"Intecal provides our customers with an off-the-shelf software package that integrates with our extensive line of test and calibration equipment, including our laboratory digital pressure controller/calibrators and our portable calibrators used in the field" says Jim Henke, product manager, "This new package greatly simplifies creating repetitive calibration procedures and also interfaces with popular digital multimeters to monitor the device under test. Customers can significantly increase automation in their calibration process, saving valuable time and money."
Intecal users will benefit from being able to rapidly automate, manage and streamline the workload for testing and calibration of most any type of pressure sensor, transducer, transmitter, gauge or instrument. Calibration schedules, procedures, results and certificates are stored in one place for easy access and secure archiving. Technicians can reduce calibration time by up to 50% with an Intecal software driven platform in comparison with the use of other, standalone, digital pressure controllers which require recording DUT readings manually.
