Meg-Alert is an automatic, in-line insulation resistance tester and monitor with test capabilities from 500 to 5000 VDC. The permanently installed system will continuously test the dielectric strength of winding insulation at rated voltage while the motor/generator is not running. Meg-Alert uses a current-limited DO test output to safely detect insulation breakdown and can notify through alarm and-or lockout equipment from starting. Our color-coded meter allows operators to trend thus expanding maintenance personnel. This type of predictive maintenance protection can help eliminated unscheduled downtime and reduce repair costs. In addition, Meg-Alert eliminates "hands-on" testing, increases maintenance staff efficiency, and maximizes worker safety. Available with optional RS-232 or 4-20mA signals.
