New IDEAL Twist-A-Nut 21-In-1 Multi-Bit Screwdriver Delivers Fifty Percent More Torque Than Standard Models

2010

Heavy-duty Professional Grade Tool Holds 16 Screwdriver Bits, 3 Nutdrivers, Wire Loops, and the Patented Wire-Nut Wire Connector Wrench

Sycamore, IL - IDEAL recently introduced the amazingly versatile 21-in-1 Twist-a-Nut multi-bit, dual-ratcheting screwdriver featuring more unique fastening applications than any other tool designed for professional electricians, along with fifty percent more torquing power than standard ratchets.

"The 21-in-1 Twist-a-Nut gives electricians the most powerful torque of any screwdriver on the market plus infinite possibilities when it comes to fastening and wire preparation," explained Bruce Hartranft, Product Manager for IDEAL. "We've also redesigned the handle for improved ergonomics and greatly reduced finger stress."

Ultimate Multitasker

IDEAL configured the tool so that the four bits most frequently used by electricians are pre-loaded into the driver shaft with an additional 12 specialty bits securely stored for quick access within the handle. Its two interchangeable chrome-vanadium shafts were designed for effortless driving of 1/4", 5/16" and 7/16" nuts.

In addition, the handle has two Accu-Loop wire looping holes to create perfectly formed wire loops, along with the patented Wire-Nut ratcheting wrench formed into its bottom that accepts twist-on wire connectors from IDEAL and other manufacturers.

Not only does this timesaving tool harness all these capabilities, it also offers the flexibility of being compatible with IDEAL's Conduit Deburring Tool and the 6-in-1 Tap Tool.

All-Metal Ratchet

The 21-in-1 is built around a premium all-metal, 28-tooth ratcheting mechanism that delivers an exceptionally high 225 lbs of torque, stronger than the human wrist can torque yet smooth for repeated use without fatigue. The ratchet provides three-position ratcheting action -- clockwise, counter clockwise, and locked -- to tackle any challenging task.

Ergonomic Design

IDEAL has redesigned the original Twist-a-Nut handle, bringing added durability, comfort and torque to the two-part dual durometer grip. Soft, black overmolding on the outer surface of the grip strategically exposes six torsion bars to provide exceptional stability. This harder, high-visibility yellow reinforced propylene is also used for the ends and inner surfaces to assure toughness. Leopard spots are set into the soft black grip so that slippage due to sweat is avoided. Grip materials are resistant to water, perspiration, oil and chemicals, maximizing tool service life.
