Online Retailer Will Only Outlet To Sell the Box Version of Memeo's Backup Software For iPod

Aliso Viejo, CA - Memeo, Inc. (formerly Tanagra, Inc.), a worldwide provider of file management and backup solutions for the consumer and small-to-medium business (SMB) markets, announced its latest backup software for iPod -- Memeo iExtend -- will be sold exclusively on Amazon.com through March. Amazon.com is the first exclusive mass distribution retailer for Memeo.

Amazon.com will sell the retail-box version of iExtend, which was previously only available online via download. The move is designed to address the request of Memeo customers to be able to purchase Memeo "out-of-the-box" so they can pass it along to their friends and family. Amazon.com was selected as the exclusive retailer because of its leadership in the consumer electronics and software product categories, as well as its strong sales of iPod accessories.

"iPod is the number one portable digital music player in the world and Amazon.com is a leading online retailer. Put that together and you have the best opportunity to meet mass consumer demands," stated Hong Bui, CEO and Co-founder of Memeo. "We are thrilled that Amazon.com will be the exclusive seller of Memeo iExtend until the end of March. It answers the call of our customers for a physical box solution while offering the massive amounts of iPod users with a simple and affordable way to get the most out of their digital life on-the-go."

Memeo iExtend expands the capabilities of iPod beyond music and makes it easier to access content from an iPod such as photos, e-mail, contacts, calendars, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Memeo iExtend also gives users the ability to access RSS news feeds from their iPod. The Memeo + Shutterfly integrated feature provides users with an effortless way to share, print and protect precious digital moments and instantly detects new digital photos and automatically manages the photo uploading process in the background.

iExtend gives users the ability to automatically update their iPod without having to connect to iTunes. Other features of Memeo iExtend include disaster-proof Memeo iDisk, which allows users to store valuable content online and off-site. It also now gives Windows users access to their most up-to-date files and content by allowing them to configure folders with their iPod. Zero-Touch(tm) data preservation technology conforms to individual user behavior and automatically backs-up any new file addition or change. iExtend allows users to concurrently backup data to any number of storage locations. Memeo iExtend also keeps track of file changes made while your iPod is disconnected from a PC and automatically updates those changes upon re-connection.
