OPmobility Signs Renewable Energy Agreement With EDP In Spain

OPmobility has signed a multi-year renewable energy supply agreement in Spain with EDP, the world's leading energy company in renewables. Starting 2026, this renewable energy contract will cover about 25% of OPmobility’s current electricity needs in Spain and contribute to the decarbonization of the Group’s activities. Having achieved carbon neutrality on scopes 1 and 2 in 2025, OPmobility is thus strengthening its climate strategy with the ambition of reaching Net-Zero by 2050.

The agreement includes both an electricity supply contract and a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from EDP’s Las Lomillas photovoltaic plant, guaranteeing a supply of renewable electricity at competitive costs covering around a quarter of OPmobility’s current operations in Spain.

With this contract, OPmobility continues the decarbonization of its activities, after having successfully achieved carbon neutrality on its scope 1 and 2 emissions in 2025, in line with the commitment made in 2021. This performance is founded on a +19% improvement in energy efficiency since 2019, the accelerated use of renewable energy, with 38 sites equipped with solar panels or wind turbines at the end of 2025, and the securing of 10 renewable energy supply agreements (PPA and Virtual PPA) in Europe and in Asia.

In addition, OPmobility is pursuing its trajectory towards a 30% reduction in upstream and downstream scope 3 CO2 emissions by 2030, compared with 2019, while mobilizing its entire value chain to become Net-Zero by 2050.

David Meneses, Executive Vice-President People & Sustainability, said: "By securing a significant amount of renewable energy from a referenced solar farm for its Spanish operations, OPmobility is continuing the decarbonization of its assets, which has led to successfully reaching carbon neutrality on scopes 1 and 2 in 2025. The Group is thus demonstrating the decarbonization can be made at competitive costs and strengthening its position as a sustainability leader in rapidly evolving mobility markets.”
