SNAPZ Software, Inc. was founded in June 1990, for the purpose of developing and publishing PC-based software designed specifically for the electrical trade. In August 1992, founders Jared Menzie and James Vafakos changed the company name from Mentor Associates to SNAPZ Software, Inc.

In April 1992, the company released its first software product, SNAPZ Master Electrician®, a computer-based training program for the National Electrical Code®. Since then thousands of electricians from the United States, Canada and South America have used SNAPZ Master Electrician to successfully pass their Master's License exam. In fact, the success rate is so high that SNAPZ guarantees success.

Following its early success, the company introduced SNAPZ Electrical Instructor, a complete test generation program for teachers of Apprentice/Journeyman electricians. Using SNAPZ Electrical Instructor with its built-in database of NEC® questions, teachers can construct and print quizzes, tests, homework, pre-class work or extra study material for struggling students.

SNAPZ continually upgrades its software products adding new features and making current ones easier to use. The company is currently developing a new software product, which focuses on meeting the unique needs of the independent electrical contractor.

For the future, SNAPZ plans to expand the base of high-quality, computer-based study material available to the Electrical Industry, and is now actively seeking qualified authors and material providers to partner in the effort.
