ADSL (Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line) technology now being used by the telecommunication industry to provide
ADSL (Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line) technology now being used by the telecommunication industry to provide digital service is fully protected by the phone board provided as standard fare in the SURGEBREAKER PLUS surge protector. The improved technology means that customers will no longer need to purchase an additional module to protect their digital/analog phone service and equipment.

The current analog phone board included with the unit has a clamping voltage compliant with the current telecom standards for both analog and digital signals associated with voice and ADSL service. It provides residential whole-house surge protection against damage to electrical, telephone and coaxial systems and the major household appliances and electronic equipment connected to them.

The surge protector is an external module that installs adjacent to the load center and protects telephone, cable and electrical systems with a rating up to 60,000 amperes. It protects against power surges that can damage sophisticated appliances and electronic equipment such as computers and televisions. It diverts the energy from powerful surges to ground, then resets itself automatically. It is designed to withstand power surges for years. But if any surge protector component is damaged, the modular design allows for easy component replacement.

The unit has a phone board that will protect analog, digital, and Cat 5 wiring. The metal-enclosed device provides internal workspace for coaxial cable and telephone cable connections. Additionally, it can be flush- or surface- mounted for easy installation and easy monitoring of the AC line LED status indicator. Additional features include:

•Coaxial cable protection
•Two F- connections (CATV or satellite and master antenna)
•Common mode protection
•Telephone line protection
•PTC fusing elements as secondary protectors
•All mode protection (tip to ground, ring to ground, tip to ring)
•AC line protection
•All mode protection (120V/240 VAC 3-wire, line to neutral, line to ground, neutral to ground and line to line)
•MOV-based solid state design
•Individual fused MOVs
•Surge rating of 60,000 amps
•Thermal disconnects in addition to the fuse elements
•Sand-encased AC section for additional security in the event of extraordinary overcurrent and MOV damage
