Trend building management systems embody the very latest technology for control and monitoring of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and other building services.

Used in all types of non-domestic building, they save energy and ensure a comfortable environment, and can deliver significant cost savings.

Trend's diverse range of products can match virtually every application, from intelligent optimiser solutions for small premises through to sitewide distributed systems.

Trend's IQL10 and IQL11 fan coil unit controllers are designed for direct connection to a LonWorks communications bus, and conform fully to LonMark requirements for fan coil control.

Though connected to a LonWorks bus, IQL10 and 11 controllers can still be readily integrated within a Trend building management system to allow them to communicate with other, standard IQ controllers (eg, those on the main air handlers) and be accessed from the same operator interface. This is achievable using the company's normal engineering tools.

Between them, the two new controllers can meet the needs of the vast majority of fan coil applications. The IQL10 is the basic model and is equipped with a temperature sensor input, a relay output for fan control and two pairs of triac outputs (for controlling heating and cooling valves).

The IQL11 has an additional input for a local setpoint adjustment and another for a window contact or occupancy sensor (allowing the fan coil to be automatically switched off or put into setback mode in the event of a window
being opened or the room becoming unoccupied).
