Universal Zone Control - Model UZC

The Universal Zone Control panel features Auto changeover between the heating mode and the cooling mode. This allows one zone to be in the heating mode in the morning and in the cooling mode in the afternoon without manually changing the thermostat. The UZC also has the ability to allow one zone to be in the cooling mode and another zone to be in the heating mode and the system will satisfy both zones. The heating mode will satisfy first. The system will go through a ten minute delay to purge the heated air out of the system and then change over into the cooling mode and bring on the compressor.

OTHER FEATURES OF THE UZC

Outdoor air temperature sensor can be used as both a first stage economizer system in the cooling mode and d 2nd stage lockout sensor in the heat mode to prevent the 2nd stage of the heat from coming on prematurely.

Supply air temperature sensor can be used to shut off the heat source of the furnace and keep the fan running to avoid the possibility of overheating. In the cooling mode, the sensor will prevent any coil freeze-up by shutting off the compressor if the supply air goes below 40 degrees F and running until the temperature goes up to 50 degrees F.

Both temperature sensors are excellent energy saving devices.

Compatible with most HVAC equipment of single stage or two stage, gas or oil fired. Electric air conditioning and heat pumps with either 0 or B-type reversing valves.

Compatible with off-the-shelf thermostats with either automatic changeover or manual changeover, Standard heat/cool or heat pump thermostats cart be used with any HVAC equipment.

Minimum Run-time/Off-time is built into the UZC to prevent slugging or rapid cycling of the compressor.

2nd stage control by either a timer built-in to the UCZ or by the temperature settings in the thermostat.

Override switch on the UZC clears time delays to allow contractor faster checkout.

Separate RH and RC terminals for use, with two transformer systems.

The versatility of the UZC eliminates the need to carry stock on many different types of control panels. There is no longer a need to have separate control panels for a single stage unit, and the heat pump. The UZC will easily
accommodate all of the distributors and contractors needs for all applications.
