Vestas Secures 202 MW Order Along With A Long-Term Service Agreement In Sweden

Vestas has secured a 202 MW order for a wind project in Sweden that will comprise 47 V150-4.2 MW turbines in 4.3 MW Power Optimised Mode together with a 27-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract, optimising the energy production for the lifetime of the project.

“Leveraging the versatility of our 4 MW platform variants, the V150-4.2 MW is the perfect fit for the site’s wind conditions and will ensure maximum value for our customer’s business case”, states Juan Furones, Director Sales Sweden, Finland & Estonia, Vestas Northern & Central Europe. “This order once again underlines the V150-4.2 MW turbine’s competitiveness in the Nordic region, where it has now reached a firm order intake and installation track record of 1.4 GW”.

The project will feature a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, lowering turbine downtime and thus optimising the energy output. The contract further includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a 27-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022, while commissioning is planned for the third quarter of 2022.
